Our Story
Where It All Began
Fungi Flow Ecosystem is an IoT-based shiitake mushroom cultivation project based in Thimphu and Paro, Bhutan. We are currently in the setup phase, establishing our first smart growing facilities across both locations.
Our project combines modern sensor technology with sustainable farming practices to create climate-controlled mushroom growing environments. By monitoring temperature, humidity, and CO₂ in real time, we aim to produce consistent, high-quality shiitake mushrooms year-round.
Bhutan's unique climate and its national commitment to 100% organic agriculture make it an ideal place to pioneer IoT-based mushroom farming. We are building the foundation for a new kind of agribusiness in Bhutan, one that is smart, sustainable, and community-driven.

Train and support local mushroom growers in Thimphu and Paro with the knowledge, tools, and technical guidance they need to set up and run successful IoT-based shiitake farms.

Create direct links between mushroom growers and buyers, cutting out middlemen and ensuring fair returns for local farming communities across Bhutan.
Our Vision
Our vision is to replicate our IoT-based shiitake mushroom farming model to interested growers across Bhutan. We see a future where smart mushroom farms are part of every farming community, contributing to food security, rural livelihoods, and Bhutan's sustainable development goals.
By proving the concept in Thimphu and Paro first, we aim to create a replicable blueprint that any motivated grower in Bhutan can follow, supported by training, technology, and a connected marketplace.
